Bill: Sales Tax Reform 3982

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Socialist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3983

Description[?]:

Currently, sales tax on luxury goods are at a staggering 50%! This is utterly unreasonable, people cannot afford this. We propose slicing the tax right in half at 25% for now, to see whether or not this is sustainable. Ideally we would go lower.

MessageMr Speaker

Can the Prime Minister seriously believe that it is even somewhat justified to have a FIFTY percent tax on luxury goods? It's extortion.
