Message | Given the breadth of political representation, we believe that this is a common sense amendment for the nation. |
Date | 15:26:05, February 13, 2016 CET | From | Liberal Socialist Party | To | Debating the Constitutional Amendment in Respect to Term Limits |
Message | Mr Speaker We would be in favour of reducing it to 36 months, three years as opposed to a mere two years, which is nowhere near long enough for a term to be effective. We however believe that the NEXT election should be in two years due to the rise of new parties, but overall oppose shortening the length of the term to this degree. Jeremy Perez Leader of the LSP |
Date | 19:33:42, February 13, 2016 CET | From | Partito Monarchico | To | Debating the Constitutional Amendment in Respect to Term Limits |
Message | Statement from the Monarchist Party: We would actually be in favor of 36-48 months; 36 if it MUST be reduced. However, we would likewise be in favor of a much more long term aristocratic or monarchical system being put in place to defend against the problems seen in elected officials.
