Bill: Pension

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal and Progressive Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4019

Description[?]:

This bill seeks to support low income retirees by offering a pension to those who can not afford a private pension plan. This way, it will not heavily harm companies that offer pension, as public pensions will mostly be servicing people that are unable to afford a private plan anyway.

MessageWe oppose the pension bill, as we should be incentivising our people to earn their money for later in life not be given it once we reach a certain age. My party ministers and their families work hard for the money they earn and they get paid for their hard work so when they reach a good old age, they can retire happily without the need for the government to hold their hand.
