Message"I would remind the Alorians that the Artanian Union does not infringe upon their sovereignty. Ours is an organization devoted to the collective progress of the continent of Artania. In this time of global instability it would mean chaos for a nation to attempt to strike out on its own after so long being intertwined with the economies and cultures of its Artanian neighbors.

We have heard, also, that the isolationist parties of Aloria are misconstruing the nature of the AU. I would remind all the world that we do not require member nations to provide military aid to other member nations in the event of an attack - the Union is not a military alliance. Instead we allow member nations to provide humanitarian or economic aid if they so choose. The Artanian Union is a vessel for progress - it is through us, through the cooperation of the Alorians and the rest of the AU that we have established and maintained the Artanian Space Agency, and promoted cultural exchange. Nationalist parties are appealing to fear and populism, and I will not have it!"

MessageANP SAYS DIRECTOR-GENERAL IS SCAREMONGERING

Falk Fuchs has told Aloria that the director-general is scaremongering:

'He claimed we told people that we needed to provide military aid to other nations in the event of an attack. We did not - we specified that you can give humanitarian or economic aid instead. The director-general is misconstruing our report. Our point of view is we should not be forced to give military, economic, or humanitarian aid. He also claimed we are an isolationist party. This is untrue. We believe in cooperating with Artania and the rest of the world, but we do not want to be part of a political union. The AU restricts our sovereign power. Aloria should not turn a blind eye to this. We need to make our country great again!'

MessageHeiko Steuben, ANP Chair of AU Committee, has made a speech:

The AU infringes on our sovereignty by making us adhere to 'resolutions' which we, the legislature, cannot amend or scrap. The resolutions may hinder Alorian businesses, or affect us in some way. The AU also requires to give aid to a country which has been attacked. As a sovereign nation, it should be our decision to aid a country in a time of need. The AU should not tell us what to do with our available resources. We also have to pay a fee to be part of a failing union. The ANC has pointed out that the AU is good for trade cooperation between member states. While we understand this, we can still cooperate with other nations, the same way we do with nations outside the AU. We can also set up trade deals with various AU nations, which we will be looking to do if the people vote to leave the AU.

The AU should be an economical union, with the advantage of being a single market. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The AU is turning into a super-state, by infringing on our national sovereignty, and charging us to do so. The time to leave is now.
