| We seek to be the epitome of democracy in the world. The government seeks to make Hobrazia a benchmark of good leadership. In so doing,we seek to introduce most probably the most controversial bill in the history of this nation and most probably the whole world. To prevent regimes of dictatorship and bad governance we seek to bring in party term limits. And the bill shall state; That a party can rule a nation for a maximum of two consecutive terms thereafter it shall be required by law not to run for a third term. It may however decide to support another party or abstain from running in the presidential elections. If the party it supported wins the presidential elections,a coalition government may be formed but the position of head of government shall be filled by the party that won the elections,not the party that supported it. After one term out of office or if an early election is called for, a party is eligible for re-election into governance. This however does not interfere with the legislature. A party has all the right to gain all the majority seats it wants. This bill shall prevent long incumbencies by parties and promote good governance,accountability and democracy at large. If passed,we would like this bill to take effect as from February 3993. |
