Bill: No gamble against crime.

Details

Submitted by[?]: Devout Ecologists Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2174

Description[?]:

Let's get rid of gambling (again), this will decrease crime. Furthermore, money should be earned, not won from a poor person. People have to work for their money, not rely on chance to win money. It only results in a detrimintal society, and we do not need any, not even the slightest dots, of that.

MessageGambling proceeds from the lottery usually goes towards local/state education. Would you take away such a large percentage of profit from Rildanor's youth? Gambling is a quick way to raise money for any government...and with the current deficit, I'm loathe to do away with it now.

MessageGambling does not give us any money, check the budget. Furthermore, there is no lottery. Currently it is only allowed in private homes and casinos. And you are worried about the profit we make from the youth? We should not make a profit of the youth! They should be able to keep the money, and not see it wash away through such a wasteful activity.

MessageI was saying that the profits would GO to the youth and their education.

MessageProfits from non-existing lotteries. Profits who go.. to youth and education? What about older people who are past their education? And where do you base this on?
