Description[?]:
Salve, amici! You both know that I'm very new to Particracy and Selucia. I'm introducing this bill to make sure I understand what's going on in the Kingdom, and make sure that Factio Victoria Animi doesn't do anything inappropriate going forward. In replying, could you please provide feedback on 1) my interpretation of current events and 2) my ideas for FVA's involvement in Regnum de Selucia. CURRENT EVENTS As I currently understand it, Selucia is the home of the Aurorian Patriarchal Hosian Church, the biggest Hosian denomination on Terra. In the past, the government was controlled by Religio Seluciana, a coalition of polytheistic religions. Currently, they are in the minority and are being discriminated against. Similarly, we are persecuting a Jelbic ethnic minority. Your two parties each represent a Noble Family---the FN with the Constantines and the FTD with the Calatians. Our Imperator currently has official control over Cildania, vicarious control over Al' Badara, and future control over Pontesi. We do not rule directly, but the countries we control are similar to the RL Soviet Satellites in the Cold War. There is a World War happening, which Selucia is almost completely absent from, save a hollow declaration of war against Hobrazia to support our ally, the Chann Empire. Are these statements correct? Is there anything else important I'm missing? FVA IN SELUCIA A good introduction to Factio Victoria Animi can be found at this forum post: http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1585&p=97683#p97683 Once the Senatum's reports come out in September and October, people will probably start hearing about FVA. Given Selucia's political climate, how will your supporters respond? In RL, a party like FVA would probably be quickly approached by a foreign power---one more secular and liberal than either FN or FTD---looking for an ally to help nudge Selucia's politics in their favor. If I were to invite such allies via the forum and messages, would it derail your plans for the Kingdom? Three of FVA's more radical stances are 1) the complete separation of Church and State, 2) the tolerance of ethnic and religious minorities, and 3) the abolition of all noble titles. However, the party is willing to delay each of these items if the people of Selucia aren't prepared for such a drastic change. How would people react to each of these? Are there any that are unrealistic, or should be delayed or abandoned? Finally, now that there is a leftist Factio in the Kingdom, what do you think should happen? Do you have any ideas for FVA? Thank you so much for your time! |

Message | Just a comment from outside - the Chann-Hobrazian war actually isn't a part of the global war. The global war was arranged by everyone involved, and the outcome is already decided OOC. As far as I can tell the Chann-Hobrazia war was never planned OOC, which, just as a piece of advice, is not a great idea. Selucia has no part in the current global war. Welvome to PT! |

Random fact: Real-life organisations should not be referenced in Particracy, unless they are simple and generic (eg. "National Organisation for Women" is allowed). |
