MessageThis is bill dangerous to national security with the current laws we have in place, but if my Military Reduction Bill passes, then this bill makes sense, and i will vote yes

MessageThank you Parti Conservateur de Aldurie for the support. Parti de Imperial could you elaborate on your reasoning, I don't Understand why it would be dangerous or the relation of private arms ownership and the defense industry.

MessageWith the powerful, full time Armed Forces we have now, there is no need for a citizen to have ownership over guns. This would make crackdown on the Black Market of Arms in the nation much more difficult, as the access to weapons will surely be increased. I'm also concerned that a rise in mass shootings is entirely possible, especially with the premise that you can carry a gun ANYWHERE. This bill has some great ideas, but makes little sense at this point in time

MessageWell we can agree to disagree because I believe that however highly unlikely that an oppressive regime may come to power, its because the military has a strong presence that makes these proposals necessary. With regard to crime, private gun ownership will act as a deterrent to future crime and give people a fighting chance in an event where someone with an illegal weapon attempts to rob or harm you. I believe that most gun crimes happen with illegally purchased firearms. The current policy in Alduria leaves private citizens defenseless. For cases of mass shootings, mental instability is the root cause of such horrific events and our proposal would limit their excess, they could however obtain these guns illegally on the black market anyways. There are also cases where military personnel have conducted mass shootings, so in my opinion limiting the people's access to weapons is just leaving ourselves exposed.

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too.
