Message | We like the article on renewables but oppose the one on religions. The only thing this kind of bill does is to either force parties to effect legislation they don't want or run the risk of losing popular appeal because of riders in the bill. In this case, the "renewable energy" proposal is sensible but the rider on religion makes it difficult to approve. It seems that this game is politics as usual. We have compromised to a certain extent, but we'll put our feet down when the bill is not net positive. - CPA |
