Message | "The institutions that form the social backbone of Dankuk need, like most, significant reform to bring the country into a new and more responsible age. Essentially, the National Democratic Congress would like to propose that the healthcare industry is modernized by introducing both an element of competition and choice to our healthcare system. Instead of being forced to accept what the state believes is right for a citizen or their family, they should be allowed to accentuate their own wishes - whether this be frequenting a private hospital or sports club, or pressing their own will on organ donation or vaccinations in the family. It does seem reasonable to us that the government should be allowed to express an opinion, and to inform the consumer of healthcare, but naturally the final decision should fall to the person most responsible for their own body." --- Chin Kyung Min, National Democratic Spokesperson for Health and Social Affairs |
