Message | Mr. Speaker, The right has moved to try to block this bill but they have failed to interpret our intentions regarding this Act. We proposed this to ensure that the rumunerations of religious ministers fell into line with the laws regarding all other workers. That is, that religious salaries abide by the living wage law and the nationwide salary cap. We struggle to find a reason why the right supports either religious ministers being paid below the living wage or above the national salary cap. - Rep. Anne Sulzbach, Green Party Leader |
