MessagePerhaps we can make a counteroffer. Article number 4 prevents our citizens from getting sick. Article 1. as we already have charter-schools which are made to meet standards, the same should apply to private schools. Article 3 is just down right immoral and goes against animal rights. Article 6 goes with article 4 so our citizens know what they are eating.

MessageThis would determine if people wanted to buy the product or not, and also, the government regulates rule number 2 so rule number 3 would be enforced.

MessageArticle 2 concerns chemicals as does the current law you want to change with Article 3. So there is really no reason why 2 should imply 3. Besides we prefer the current law concerning pesticides.

MessageSome people may not want it on their products, so we don't want to require them to use them.

MessageAnd some people don't want salad grown by a homosexual farmer, should we require labeling that too?
As long as there is no prove whatsoever and no rational reason to assume that GM crops are in any way dangerous requiring to list them is arbitrary and unreasonable.
Besides all our food is genetically modified. The difference here is that it is not done by trial and error but scientifically and that there are rigourous tests before their sale is permitted.
Requiring the declaration of GM ingredients is just pandering to anti-scientific and anti-progressive ideologists and the backwards thinking sheep who follow them.

MessageOOC: I interpret the current pesticides law as being stricter than the proposed one. Ideally we would have regulation and declaration. You seem to take the proposed law to be stricter. If it is I agree on that Article. Not the others though.
