Bill: Child Employment Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Radical League

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2176

Description[?]:

We feel that, with additional regulations to those of working adults, children should be allowed to work.

We must remember that education is not compulsory in this nation, so why are we enforcing laws that prevent children from making money out of their free time.

Additional regulations:

*No child under the age of 16 can work in 'heavy labour' (mining etc)
*No child under the age of 16 can operate industrial machinery
*No child under the age of 10 can work for more than 10 hours a week
*No child under the age of 16 can work for more than 20 hours a week

Message"We must remember that education is not compulsory in this nation", and the LD is still fighting to change that. So we disagree with the precondition. The rest seems nice though :)

MessageZIP, we feel that it doesn't make sense that children don't have to go to school, but aren't allowed to earn some money. This goes someway to rectify that situation.
