Bill: Health Reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: Post-Revolutionary Pragmatic Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2175
Description[?]:
This party and its health minister are concerned that the ongoing liberalisation and privatisation of our health sector has had nefarious effects on our citizens' health. To prevent further ill effects, for the good of the nation, we propose legislation to rectify this problem. Our solution consists of two primary vectors: - A limited public health care service, to ensure a minimal service to each and every citizen. - Health and safety legislation that ensures that our citizens possess the necessary information needed to make an informed choice. |

Message | Not all regulation is bad regulation. It is our view that this small limitation of economical freedom will cause an increase in other kinds of freedom. Moreover, the way businesses and private individuals conduct their affairs has an undeniable influence on the affairs of individuals - it is folly and utopian thinking of the worst magnitude to presume that this is not the case; it is equal folly to presume unbridled liberty brings unbridled freedom and happiness. |
