Bill: Anti War-Slave Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Committee for Constitutional Minarchy
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2176
Description[?]:
Conscription is evil! As a member of the World Anti-Slavery Union and as a voice of the people of Hutori we implore the leadership of this nation to reconsider the law allowing for a compulsory military draft. Even if threatened by war, forcing the people against their wills into service not only compromises the effectiveness of our military, but it undermines the very principles of a democratic nation! This is a violation of the right to life, an initiation of force by the state against the individual, and a betrayal of the purpose of the government. We are a proud nation Because We Are Free, and in times of war a free nation will have no lack of volunteers to defend our freedom against aggression. A man will fight for his freedom. He won't fight for some cause he doesn't understand or believe in. Repeal the military draft! End the slavery! |

Message | They are PAID if you did not notice. After they are dismissed, the government assists them in getting into a new life. Or at least it did until the Libertarians' Acts passed. |

Message | War is a fact of life. We must be prepared to deal with it. We would prefer that a draft is only used when we are being directly attacked. |
