Message | Oh, we at Big Corporation X "deem" your reason for striking, such as very low wages, as unreasonable! You're fi-yered. |

Message | So you are proposing that if, for instance, the transportation workers go on strike forever and ever our transportation system would be parked that long? That's just ridiculus. We would prefer the less drastic option of needing government approval or leaving the law alone. We will not support this option as it stands. |

Message | Unions still must take votes on whether or not to go on strike, and they still have to negotiate, they can't just strike even if their demands are met. |

Message | "Freedom is merely privilege extended, Unless enjoyed by one and all." "Employers cannot fire workers who go on strike." What about the freedom of the employers? Regarding taking votes, I've seen some unions bully their members into voting for a strike that the workers didn't even want to be in. I just wish that there was an option whereby the employers could sack the union officials, who, in the more militant unions, take unreasonable stances on matters, forcing things to an ugly head, rather than rationally debating and seeking a good outcome for all. Vote for this? No way. |

Message | P.S..... SGSP, you are obviously dyslexic... Shouldn't that be "The Internationale unties the human race"? |

Message | Obviously, we support rational debate over immediate strike and we support the workers as well as the union leaders. We are not disrupting the freedom of the employers, we are just making sure that they do not hurt the freedom of the workers. The elimination of this loophole in the law is important. But not that important, since most industries in this country are run by Democratic Workers' Councils. |

Random fact: Submitting a bill without any proposals in it will not attract or detract voters. It will not raise your visibility or change your political position. |
Random quote: “The people's war isn't just a war of destruction, it is also a war of construction. We will build new facilities, new hospitals, new farms. We will seek to improve the lives of the people around us. This struggle will be as costly as the struggle against the bourgeois army, and indeed will be even more damaging to the enemy.” - Comrade X, former Hulstrian politician |
