Message | "As the spokesperson for the National Democratic Congress for Health and Social Affairs prior to the coup and the ascension of the NDC to government, I proposed a wide-reaching yet reasonable bill to the IPP that hoped to liberate the minds and thoughts of the people of Dankuk. Now that I am a minister, it gives me great joy in announcing this bill to the Senate. I know that it shall be a contentious one among conservatives on both sides, especially my latter clause in legalizing other forms of worship than Seodongyo, but I urge you that this is an entirely reasonable proposal given our new democratic era. There will be those to lean towards the status quo on this subject, but we must move forward into a new secular and democratic age." --- Chin Kyung Min (NDC) Minister of Health & Social Solidarity ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Speaking from the right of Congressonial members, I must say that this trend towards the 'new secular age' worries me deeply. Whilst I concur with my friend the Minister of Health & Social Solidarity, in that we must continue to democratize Dankuk, the root of this can be found in the comfort of religious security. I applaud some of these measures, but I shall be following the party line come the vote only out of loyalty to Daetonglyeong Kal Chuwon rather than a desire to shun my religion and all that it stands for."
