Bill: Nuclear Energy Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Majatran Socialist Ba'ath Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 4019
Description[?]:
We should encourage nuclear power through subsidies and tax relief. Nuclear energy is a clean and efficient way to generate power without adding pollution to the air. Once the infrastructure is in place, nuclear energy is very relatively cheap to maintain. Encouraging the use of nuclear power would shift Solentia into the future and ensure that we are competitive internationally for years to come. |

Old value:: The decision is left up to local governments.

Message | What a surprise the communist party supports this. The last time a communist country used nuclear power chernobyl occurred. Communists never learn. Stop destroying free enterprise. Some places oil is a lot better or wind power let's let the market choose not have government choose. |

Message | We must encourage alternative forms of energy to decrease our reliance on fossil fuels. We have plenty of surplus cash that could be used effectively and as I said, apart from initial start up costs, nuclear energy is generally cheaper than conventional methods. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
