Message | Mr Speaker, Here we go - an unnelected monarchy soon and now nobles to ride around on horses. Bloody great. George Johnston FSC Leader |

Message | Mr. Speaker The FSC would be massively incorrect in assuming that this would lead to an unelected Monarchy. The original National Honours Bill and creation of the Order of the Golden Lion was universally approved and voted for by every party in the Senate; and the record will show that at the time every other party with the exception of the Royalist Party was Republican in nature. This does not create an unelected nobility merely Honours those who have done a great service to this nation with an honorary title to show their service and dedication. Are winners of sports competition not awarded medals? This is nothing more then that. Caroline Little Royalist Senate Leader Senator for Langdon Centre, Roccato OOC: again I'll point out this is similar to being named a member of the Order of Canada in Canada. It does not mean your noble or anything else like they rule over someone. It's an honorary title, which is all titles can be according to current Hutorian law regardless. They aren't hereditary, and offer only minor political benefits like invites to State or Provincial events to say "ans this is Jack a Knight Companion of thr Order of the Golden Lion. He's a former HFPS Officer who threw himself on top of a bomb to save a crowd of people" |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The distinction made by Senator Little is important, and should be recognized. These titles are not hereditary, they do not confer political benefits nor a yearly allowance or salary. They are simply titles of honor. The Democratic Party of Hutori will support this, as my grandfather did before me, as well as many other great Hutorian republicans. While we still deeply oppose the Monarchy, this is most certainly not the Monarchy. Juliet Williams Chair of the DPH |

Message | OOC: Isnt the speaker supposed to be neutral even though he used to belong to the royalists? |

Message | OOC: what do you mean? The Speaker is always neutral. I simply RP them in my capacity as Nationmaster of Hutori |

Random fact: The voters enjoy active parties who take upon themselves the initiative to create laws. |
