Bill: Daily Working Hours Act, April 4019
Details
Submitted by[?]: The Worker's Union (WU)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 4019
Description[?]:
As opposed to a blanket working hour limit, we believe it should be up for negotiation between trade unions and employers. This will allow for workers to be able to earn as much as they can while working hours they deem acceptable for themselves, and will be less disruptive for businesses. |

Proposal[?] to change The government's policy towards daily working hours.
Old value:: Daily working hours are regulated by the government.

Message | Mr Speaker, We must make sure that the unions are powerful enough to strive for their own benefit. It is definitely good to have unions negotiate their own working hours, but a government-imposed base rate shall be kept. Unions and DWCs shall have the option to negotiate a higher rate but not obligating them to do so. John Parker Leader, Reform! Rutania |

Message | Mr. Speaker, This is a proposal we too have made in the past and it is much better than the current law. Imagine if we had a right-wing government or a right-wing majority in the House? They would completely deregulate working hours and have people working up to 90 hours a week. The proposal is better in that it enables the workers themselves to negotiate with employers. Workers know what it best for them more than government. They also have the power to strike if their demands are not met. Given that this option also prevents the Libertarians from potentially condemning people to workshops, we feel it is in the interests of working people. - Rep. Ross D. George (Ardinia), Green Party Leader |

Message | Mr speaker, is it not strange that the left want everything nationalised except unions? Thank You Nigel Red Khodor representative |
