Message | Mr. Speaker, "A true new era in Rutania (...) and put people in the heart of the economy." I think that Reform! Rutania actually means: "A true new era in Rutania (...) and put government in the heart of the economy." Because if people were in the hart of the economy, their money wouldn't be robbed away by government, their businesses wouldn't be taken over, their capital and profit wouldn't be ruined by government and thereby the economy wouldn't be ruined by government. This is no left-wing government at work, this is a dictatorial regime at work, with leftists dumb enough to think they're actually liberating people. This government is taking every possibility away for our citizens to become rich and is ensuring we all become pour, helpless, defenceless and suppressed. This government will NEVER help people and Rutania, it will only help them be DESTROYED. We are fearfully waiting on the moment we've to close all of our statements with Hail President Adomah. Rep. Trevor Roberts, Deputy Leader LP |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The Libertarians haven't even bothered to read this bill. Read Article 3. This legislation will mean that "The government requires all businesses to be run by Democratic Workers' Councils." As a result, all economic activity will be run and managed democratically by the workers themselves. You cannot get a fairer or more inclusive way of managing an economy than that. The Libertarians talk about "dictatorial" regimes, their economic policy is dictatorial. Forcing the vast majority of Rutanians to be controlled and dominated by rich CEOs of multinational companies who their party want to be able to dictate working hours and pay. That is dictatorial, not the rolling out of democratic workers' councils. - Rep. Ross D. George (Ardinia), Green Party Leader OOC: Out of interest, do you genuinely believe IRL that deregulated working hours, deregulated salaries and full privatisation results in a fairer and more democratic economy than one with state-owned elements, cooperative-owned elements and industries owned by democratic workers' councils? |

Message | Mr. Speaker, If companies are run by democratic worker's councils the Green Party gets it totally wrong. If I'm now CEO, I've to give my company away to low-schooled workers that have no idea of running a company. That's not fair, that is devastating for the company and the workers. Also we do not believe in a world that is controlled by rich CEO's. We do believe in a world that is given the opportunity for economic growth, to expand more wealth to ALL of us, not that it is being robbed away by big government. Also the Green Party is that afraid of CEO's that they actually believe they're extorting their workers. However, there are more than enough CEO's that would give their workers normal working hours and pay. Because after all it are CEO's that have to run a business and they know how to run a business and running a business is not just more money and more money, but also keeping your workers happy. If a CEO indeed extorts their workers we do believe trade unions and workers have the right to strike against this. And if CEO's in free market indeed control everyone and everything, we would rather have 100,00 CEO's controlling us than 13 cabinet members. Rep. Trevor Roberts Deputy Leader LP OOC: Everything I say here is not a pure reflection of what I think in real life, much of it is, but not everything. I do believe a free market and really small government is better. Also 'listening' to your tone, you are actually believing a government restraining economic freedoms is better than a free market? |

Message | Mr Speaker, We agree with our comrades in Reform! Rutania and the Green Party. Capitalism in Rutania has failed to involve the mass of people in the economic life of the nation. This bill will establish a consistent form of democracy, i.e. socialism, in which ordinary people will have a say over every aspect of their working lives, and free them from the oppression of the owning classes. We urge the people of Rutania to support the left in the forthcoming general election. Do not listen to the lies of the right, which are fed to them by their sponsors, your oppressors! Harold Bracewell Minister for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth of Rutania Chairman of the National Executive Committee of the Democratic Socialist Part of Rutania |
