Message | Mr Speaker, This is an insult to the workers of JKU and their families. Not only do the Libertarians vote against a bailout that would give the workers time to find new jobs, they propose legislation that will make things much worse in the future. Say NO to undemocratic control of industry. Reject the Libertarians' attempt to reintroduce capitalism in Rutania. Vote against this bill! Message | Mr. Speaker, DWCs fail, why do you think JKU closed. The DWCs are the worst idea of the century. They aren't ready to lead a company, they aren't ready to lead a company to victory. When workers only think about themselves, companies get closed. A company should be run on profit not on profiting workers by giving way too much money to them. Rep. Jerome Hunter, Deputy Leader LP |

Message | Mr Speaker, We are not surprised that the Libertarians misunderstand how DWCs operate; we doubt that any of them have ever actually seen a worker-owned company in action, despite the fact that they have been the only mode of ownership in Rutania these past few years. Let us clarify: DWCs do run to make a profit. The only difference is that the profit then gets shared among the workers, who own the company and elect their management, rather than shareholders. And we won't allow the Libertarians to turn this incident into an argument against DWCs: this was purely down to a downturn in the market for JKU's goods, not mismanagement. There is no evidence to the contrary. Considering the many thousands of DKUs that continue to operate with great success, we can see the Libertarians' weasel words for what they are: an ideological defence of the old owning classes, whom they represent. James Hoare DSPR Trade and Industry Spokesman Representative for Delvar, DSPD (DSPR) OOC: I laughed at 'they aren't ready to lead a company to victory'. Are you RPing Donald Trump? |

Message | Mr. Speaker, This is exactly where it goes wrong, profit gets shared among the workers. The profit should be share among shareholders, who instead of the workers have a independent view towards the company and workers tend to have a misguided one. Exactly a downturn in the market for JKU's goods, that was caused by mismanagement. DWC are less capable of making hard calls to move the company forward. They are more willing to protect the workers while sometimes there is a need of toughness and some have to get fired or their salaries need to be reduced, a DWC is less likely to do this. Also, we do not represent the old owning class, they wouldn't favour our acceptance with public nudity, but we represent the people of the Commonwealth of Rutania who long for freedom. Rep. Jerome Hunter, Deputy Leader LP OOC: Well, I'm following the US elections very well and I think I've watched to many Trump speeches and begin to copy his speech. So I didn't do it on purpose, but I did notice it a minute after I posted it. (I'm not supporting Trump by the way) |
