Message | We agree in principle, but we would be hesitant to countenance a decrease in individual liberty on behalf of animals. We are not into using the law to promote the moral values of humans. Perhaps the Progressives can lay out the case in non-moral terms. |

Message | We understand that your reluctance to approve of this bill is the result of your firm libertarian values and positivism. We also understand that inter-species sex occurs ocassionally in nature. However, we need to distress that this is going to a very unpleasant extreme. Now, honestly, there isn't much of a rationale argument against it but we do have serious concerns about the dangers that zoonotic diseases may pose to both individuals with such preference and the public. |

Message | "We would also like to point out a similar but more extreme case. Necrophilia is often placed as illegal in many nations due to the fact that it is an "offense" to a person's remains, yet, the Socialist Party's conviction of libertarianism would surely allow this. To what extremes will you go regarding the positivist doctrine of separting morality and law? (On another note, the practice of necrophilia could also pose a health risk)." With respect to necrophelia, we trust people to do the correct thing without the law telling them that they can't. There are somethings that the Government needs to legislate, but that is because they involve another person, who has rights- for example. We outlaw slavery. Not because we don't trust people to not own slaves, but because we believe that owning slaves is a violation of human rights. Necrophelia does not cover two rights carrying individuals. So while we find the notion of both necrophelia and beastiality to be morally repulsive, we do not believe that the corpse or the animal possesses rights, and so this would be equivalent to us passing a law saying that a person cannot have sex with a tree, or with a sex toy. There is no moral character to the corpse or the animal that we can pass a law legitimately to cover. However, public health IS something that does seem to be within the purview of the Government. It is something that did not occur to us. If the NPPoK moves the bill, we will vote for it. |

Message | That settles it then. The NPPK will move the bill into voting procedures. Despite our difference in views regarding the rule of law and morality, we are glad that both the NPPK and the SPoK can rally behind the safety of the public's health. We urge that all other parties rally behind this piece of legislation. |
