IN THE 12TH YEAR UNDER THE MAJESTY OF THE QUEEN OF ḤꜤȜSU MNHS, SETEPENSEPSEY SAT MUMENHES RIBRETE, THE GATHERING OF HER PEOPLE PRAYED TO THE QUEEN'S MAJESTY FOR THE RMṮ SḤSI IꜢQ (PARLIAMENTARY RULES OF ORDER) RP LAW. ♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ ♛♚ 1. STAY IN CHARACTER. Out of Character comments should be made rarely and only when necessary. 2. BEFORE BEGINNING YOUR REMARKS, write the name and title of the character who's speaking for you. 3. ALWAYS BEGIN YOUR REMARKS WITH "Mr. President" or "Madame President" depending on the gender of the presiding officer. 4. ALWAYS CONCLUDE YOUR REMARKS WITH "I yield." 5. The Head of Government is the presiding officer of the legislature in accordance with the Constitution. However, the HoG may appoint a character from any party to preside on his or her behalf as President Pro Tempore. 6. WAIT FOR THE PRESIDING OFFICER'S CUE before sending a bill to vote, except Visibility, Campaign, and Manifesto bills which do not require debate. 7. When writing a resolution, Role-Play law, or preamble to a bill, THE INTRODUCTION MUST BE IN THE FOLLOWING FORMAT with appropriate adjustments for the gender of the ELECTED MONARCH (not the hereditary monarch), the length of the elected monarch's reign, and the bill title: "In the 4th Year Under the Majesty of the Queen of ḥꜥȝsu Mnhs, Setepensepsey sat Mumenhes Ribrete, the Gathering of Her People Prayed to the Queen's Majesty for the Rmṯ Sḥsi iꜣq (Parliamentary Rules of Order) RP Law." 8. When all the parties have voted for a bill, and if there is a majority in favor, THE MONARCH SHOULD SIGN OR VETO THE BILL in accordance with the Constitution. 9. BILLS THAT ARE VETOED BY THE MONARCH MAY NOT BE ROLE-PLAYED AS HAVING BEEN IMPLEMENTED. A Resolution authorizing their implementation must be passed and signed by the Monarch before vetoed bills can be implemented. |
