| CONSTITUTION OF THE RESTORED KROON REPUBLIEK Definitions Nasionale Kongres- National Congress Verteenwoordigers- Representatives; Members of the Kongres _________________________________________________________ Preamble The people of Saridan, on this day July 7th 4053, have united to form a new government. A government guided by a righteous king, but controlled by the will of the people. A grand and glorious republic will be resurrected, and it shall uphold the core principles upon which this document is written; God, Glory, and Brotherhood. However, it shall also preserve the truly unalienable rights of all men; Life, Freedom, and Family. We pray that the Lord bless the ink with which we write this constitution, that he make holy the paper on which it is written, and that he guide us in our brave attempt to create a better Saridan. The Nation shall from this point on be know as the Kroon Republiek van Seridjan(Crown Republic of Sardian). Article I 1.1)The Head of State shall be King Bart the Second, and upon his death it shall be passed to the heir of his choosing. 1.2)The appointed Heir must be approved by the Nasionale Kongres by 2/3rds vote. However, the Verteenwoordigers of the Kongress should only reject a heir for a extremely strong reason. The appointment of an heir should not be politicized. 1.3)The King is however expected to appoint a competent heir, and is obligated to do so while still young in age. Article 2 2.1)The Nasionale Kongres shall be the legislature of Saridan. 2.2)Members of the Nasionale Kongres shall be referred to as Verteenwoordigers. 2.3)There shall be 100 Verteenwoordigers in the Nasionale Kongres. Article 3 3.1)The Head of Government shall be the Kanselier. 3.2)The Head of Government shall be elected by a vote of the Nasionale Kongres. The Kanselier must obtain a majority of the Nasionale Kongres in order to be elected. 3.3)The Executive branch shall also consist of cabinet ministers, who work under the Kanselier. Article 4) 4.1)The King is expected to do all in his power to preserve the sovereignty and integrity of the nation. 4.2)The King shall be the formal commander-in-chief. 4.3)The Kanselier shall be the active executive, and shall wield true executive power. Article 5) 5.1) The King can assume absolute power by issuing an Royal Nood Dekreet (Royal Emergency Decree). 5.2) The Nasionale Kongres must approve the Royal Nood Dekreet (Royal Emergency Decree) by a 2/3rds supermajority. |
