Bill: Moral Teaching
Details
Submitted by[?]: The Conservative Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 4055
Description[?]:
The current law on worship in schools is vastly out of touch with the parish councils and the pious students that attend these institutions. With most schools being religiously homogenous, it seems to be a good idea to encourage the moral teaching which is a central focus in religion. Of course, it is to the students and parents if they wish to exclude any individual from partaking in this activity, but it must be recognised that moral guidance (particularly with children) is necessary for a trusting society and a prosperous future. |

Message | Children are in many cases unaware of their surroundings and unable to make decisions. We should teach multiple religions to them so that in their adulthood days they may choose one of the above. They should certainly not be forced to follow one religion. Children will follow what they are told and it is not morally correct to impose, rather, force them to follow one religion over others simply because the majority does. |

Message | To clarify for the Freedom Party, the proposed bill will omit those who wish to be excluded from the religious activities and will fully take into account the students who happen to be a different religion. No student will be forced into one religion or another. |
Date | 18:15:31, July 06, 2016 CET | From | Darnussian Freedom Party | To | Debating the Moral Teaching |
Message | I understand that (to The Conservative Party), but children do not have the capacity or knowledge to understand religion and if they want to be included or excluded. They should be taught religion but at an older age such as 12+ or 14+. |

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
