Message | We could support an increase in art subsides but only to artists of considerable skill. Artists are important as they provide critique on our society and enhance our culture. We think that abandoning copyright laws harms artists more than it helps them, if no one can own their own work then there is much less incentive to create original and creative pieces. It also makes large corporations with large logistic networks, contacts and brand identity so much more powerful than upcoming entrepreneurs and individual artists. |

Message | Also the current copyright laws are lax enough to allow critique and parodies to be legal. |

Message | Ok, I am willing to make changes to the subsidies portion of the bill to allow the government to decide which artists to help. However, our party maintains the belief that copyright laws stand in the way of the people to improve upon existing art and technology. You said our copyright laws allow critique and parodies, but that is not enough as a company or artist is not obliged to change their product, nor should they. However, we believe that the people should be able to make improvements to copyrighted art and or technology without the threat of being sued over copyright grounds. I hope you consider this argument and vote accordingly. |

Message | As we have said previously copyright laws give individual artists protection against massive corporations, artists generally support at least some copyright laws. We run limited copyright as opposed to full protection, so making additions or changes to existing art is completely legal. |
