Bill: Lex de Ecclesiis Liberandis

Details

Submitted by[?]: Théologie de la Libération

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4070

Description[?]:

A bill to end the oppressive working conditions forced upon religious ministers and the untenable ban on religious missionaries. The Aurorian Patriarchal Church is a worldwide organization, and regularly sends missionaries to aid local communities in doing charitable work among the poor; to ban them from entering Rildanor severely impedes the religious exercise of the citizenry. Furthermore, Aurorian priests work full-time in the care of their parishes, and to ban them from receiving a salary for this work amounts to an attempt to exterminate the priesthood. This is a violation of human rights.

MessageWhile we have no desire to see Rildanor return to the theocratic era of days long past, Les Jaunes fully support liberalizing our nation's draconian prohibitions on the free practice of religion.
