"After our security partners KrugerSec have recently been removed from this nation I have made the decision to resign from politics. I know that the safety of this nation will be jeopardised by this decision and I cannot be involved in a nation which is not suitably prepared against terrorism. Hopefully my resignation will send out a strong message to the government that we need to protect this nation. It is with regret that I shall be stepping down as leader of the Conservatives with immediate effect."

A leadership contest will now begin within the Conservative Party, Maureen Granger- 41 year old Justice Secretary for the Conservatives is favourite. Also running are:
