Message | Mr Speaker, As Health minister, I find that recreational drugs - or legal highs are putting an unacceptable strain on our health service budget. Paramedics are having to respond to an ever increasing number of calls to users of these substances and A and E departments are also finding it difficult to cope. I propose a ban on these recreational drugs, which will free up our precious healthcare resources. Health Secretary Lothar Wagstaff |
