Details

Submitted by[?]: Patto Repubblicano

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4078

Description[?]:

The Istalian Liberal Party's Whip of the Chamber of deputies, Federico De Giorgi:

"Honourable Member of Parliament,
the actual law on Duty is pretty unfair for our party, because the Istalian State can impose quotes and tariffs for specifical sectors selected by itself. As a proposal, we want to change this law into a more fair duty, based on reciprocal relationships with other states, letting the more likely countries to trade with us without obstacles.
Thank you for the attention."

"Onorevoli Membri del Parlamento,
l'attuale legge sui Dazi è abbastanza ingiusta per il nostro partito, perché lo Stato Istaliano può imporre quote e tariffe per specifici settori scelti dallo Stato stesso. Come proposta, vogliamo cambiare questa legge con dei dazi più giusti, basati sulla relazione reciproca con gli altri stati, lasciando che le nazioni più amiche possano commericare con noi senza ostacoli.
Vi ringrazio per l'attenzione."

Random fact: Players should not role-play characters without the consent of the owner, and if they find they have role-played the character beyond what the owner intended, they should withdraw or amend the role-play appropriately.

Random quote: "No one today can afford to be innocent, or indulge himself in ignorance of contemporary governments, politics and social orders. The national polities of the modern world maintain their existence by deliberately fostered craving and fear: monstrous protection rackets. The 'free world' has become economically dependent on a fantastic system of stimulation of greed which cannot be fulfilled, sexual desire which cannot be satiated and hatred which has no outlet except against oneself, the persons one is supposed to love, or the revolutionary aspirations of pitiful, poverty-stricken marginal societies like Cuba or Vietnam. The conditions of the Cold War have turned all modern societies - communist included - into vicious distorters of man's true potential." - Gary Snyder
