Bill: Ratification of the Barmenistan Free Trade Agreement
Details
Submitted by[?]: Left-Hand Path
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes for the ratification of a treaty. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2178
Description[?]:
This bill asks for the ratification of the Barmenistan Free Trade Agreement. If this treaty is ratified, it becomes binding and will define national law. We have been invited to join this pact. I am not entirely sure of the necessity of a bilateral trade agreement, given that we are currently in a state of fair trade with all nations. However, we are satisfied to put it before the legislature. |

Message | OOC: NAFTA has absolutily devested the economy in my area, and I'm strongly against any kind of what is called now adays 'free trade'. This however seems like a 'fair trade' proposal. There is a difference in the terms. ------- Since this is basically only a tariff agreement, we will support. |

Message | Free trade, as a general rule, only serves to enrich the wealthy countries at the cost of the already poor countries. We do not trust the concept. We are against. |
