| Message | Mr. Speaker, First, our comments on the bill itself: The ages of adulthood and retirement are set to multiples of 5 to make record keeping easier. We propose changing the retirement age to 60 instead of 62, and we will support it. We regret that this bill was set to vote in a haste. We also don't see any justification for changing the law about public financing of political campaigns. Secondly, we must caution Carlos Everton about his comment on religion. Yes, we do need to know what religions citizens identify as, because we have a lot of laws that depend on us knowing citizens' religions. For example, Lodamese Nationalism is the official state religion, and only Lodamese Nationalists are allowed in the military.
