| The President of the Republic Marcantonio Borgiese: "as promise, after the vote of the parliamentary reform I present my dimission and call early elections as soon as we can reach a consensus. The reform didn't pass, so, I want to go again to election with the hope that the opposition to this reform will be no more capable to stop it. I call all the political forces of Istalia that believe in the need of this reform, to make a decision of responsability. I offer again my service to lead the nation to the reform. I think that istalia can't still procede in this way. With governments without a policy, with presidents without a real power to propose it's political vision. As promise in this legislature, my only purpose will be to achieve the reform, then I will call early election that I hope will be held with the new system. Thank you. |

| Message | Pres. Borgiese, come maggior partito dell'opposizione le offriamo il nostro ringraziamento per il suo operato e per la sua onestà intellettuale. Siamo contrari alla Riforma da lei proposta ma non alla sua persona. Crediamo fermamente che ciò di cui l'Istalia ha bisogno non è un ritorno al passato ma un balzo in avanti: piuttosto che buttare a mare il Presidenzialismo, che ha richiesto così tante decadi per essere realizzato, bisogna piuttosto creare una legislazione che lo sostenga. Perchè non mettere, ad esempio, l'obbligo della formazione delle coalizioni prima delle elezioni? Perché non dare ai cittadini la visione del futuro governo del paese prima di recarsi alle urne? La salutiamo Presidente. Il suo tentativo è stato avversato da noi per amore dell'Istalia. Le auguriamo ogni bene e ancora lunghi anni di partecipazione alla vita politica del nostro paese; ne abbiamo bisogno. Enzo Battaglia PPI * * * Pres. Borgiese, as the largest opposition party, we offer you our thanks for his work and for his intellectual honesty. We are opposed to the Reformation from her proposal but not to his person. We firmly believe that what the Istalia needs is not a return to the past but a leap forward rather than jettison presidentialism, which took so many decades to be realized, it is more important to create legislation that supports it. Why not put, for example, the obligation of the formation of coalitions before the election? Why not give people the vision of the future government of the country before you go to the polls? We greet President. His attempt was thwarted by us for the love of Istalia. We wish you every well and even long years of participation in the political life of our country; we need it.
