Message | Mr. Speaker, we see advantages in both. A privately owned defence industry gives us a huge advantage of competing markets, which can save us lots of money. If the State owns all the industries, we can choose what we will develop, research and use. The advantage is that we can choose what parts we want to sell or share with Terra, and make money that way. We are sceptic to change the current law, but you might convince us. Message | Mr. Speaker If the Ministry of Defense has absolute control over the weapon industry the state won't need to negotiate with businessmen of the companies that produce killing machines for profit. Our production will be more effective and we can express our wishes directly. We can guarantee good loans to the people working in the weapon factories, so they won't be exploited by the competing markets. We also support your argument that we can hold back the export of weapon technology even better. Our government aims to use our defense industry as a really "defensive" industry, not as an agressive one. We don't appreciate militarism but we think we should at least keep our scientific advantage. Sebastian Weißfahn Minister of Defense AKU Member |

Message | OOC: Sorry misread your comment. So it shouldn't say "We also support your argument". It's just "We think". |

Message | Mr. Speaker, This is a single-article bill. It can be set to vote quickly. The bills we discourage from being set to vote quickly are the ones with multiple articles. -- Cletus Barlow, Chairman of the GNRG, Leader of the Opposition |
