MessageThis was the only other option (other than the one currently in effect): The matter of the appointment of ministers of religion is left up to local governments.

While I am a big fan of devolution, I don't personally think allowing Regional governments to interfere in religious orders is any more fair for the orders than allowing the central government to do so.

MessageThing is, even if (when) this bill passes the Archbishop of Oalapo will still be a political appointment as it's the title of the Head of Government. A bit of a constitutional contradiction if you ask me.
