In the name of Akim the most merciful, the Shura hereby declares the following: Article 1 Succession to the throne of Jakania shall be limited to males of the Razama line. Article 2 The throne shall be inherited by the son of the monarch, as designated by the monarch. Only upon the extinction of the sons, shall the brothers, uncles and cousins of the deceased monarch be considered for the throne. Article 3 An Allegiance Council shall be created for the purposes of determining the successor in controversial circumstances. It shall be composed of the Katib, the Chief Justice of the highest court, a delegate from each political party and three senior Razama princes. If a majority of these councillors fails to agree within thirty days, the Shura may take a vote and designate a new Sultan with a supporting vote of two thirds of all its members. Article 4 A Regent shall be appointed to rule the country during the process of elevating a new Sultan. the regent shall be chosen by a vote of the Council of Ministers. Article 5 The Shura may only amend this legislation with a vote of two thirds of all its members. |
