Message | While Article 1 is favourable for preventing general strikes, that ground is lost when considering Article 2 In any efficient society critical workers such as medical, defence, emergency and even education should already be at optimal levels and therefore any reduction in service would not be acceptable. |

Message | Perfect... optimal level can be reduce to cause mild disconfort but not life-endangering situations. |

Message | Sorry, I was being flippant ;) I do support the right to strike, but not "supportive" strikes - this makes it a political issue and not a negotiating tactic between employer and employee. Now unions are not protecting workers but threatening the economy and essential services, which we know are much more than mildly uncomfortable at "essential" levels. Unions should be about fair wages and working conditions, not a proxy for political ideologues. In fact, in a democratic society the workers and the unions themselves will be much better off in the long run if they stick to protecting their members and do not permit themselves to become puppets for a political cause. In this manner they remain able to negotiate in any political climate. |

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play. |
