Message | This is now a tax cut for EVERYBODY (except for a few in the £750-£1000 bracket who will pay the same taxes as before). 35% is far too high and this proposal removes the tax burden from the very poorest subjects altogether. |
Date | 18:49:24, February 02, 2006 CET | From | Shuggoth Progressive Party | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of October 2179 |
Message | Voting against this mostly because all funding legislation should be handled by the Finance Ministry. And besides we are currently in talks with other nations regarding the construction of a trans-Artania canal...reducing our tax at this time would make paying for this much harder. |
Date | 21:36:59, February 02, 2006 CET | From | Seosavists Republican party | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of October 2179 |
Message | that leaves us with a deficiet, I was going to vote yes until I checked that. |
Date | 23:21:24, February 02, 2006 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the Income tax proposal of October 2179 |
Message | No it doesn't. Our budget is ninety thousand million and we raise ten thousand million through indirect taxation. That leaves eighty thousand million to be raised from income tax. |
