Message | If there is a national disaster, be it an aircraft crashing on a major city, or a terrorist attack, or some other national emergency the civilain forces may not be able to cope. To outlaw (as the current law has) any military assistance in such situations is irresponsible in the extreme! |
Date | 20:11:05, February 03, 2006 CET | From | Peoples Revolutionary Party | To | Debating the National Emergencies, (military assistance) Act |
Message | For once we agree with the Libertarian Party that not allowing the Military to aid in situations such as Natural Disasters and State of Emergencies such as that caused by Terrorist Attacks is not pratical. We have to allow some help to be given because the local governments may not be properly equiped to handle such situations. |
