Bill: Vote of No Confidence for Kathrine Henderson and Benjamin Harvey
Details

Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 4120
Description[?]:
We are proposing an alternate cabinet due to several concerns we have with Kathrine Henderson and Benjamin Harvey. We see "Citizens" as a party that for the most part supports our values, and we have total confidence in their ability to lead. However, Minister Henderson and Minister Harvey have failed our nation in their dealings with foreign affairs and trade. For years, Solentia has been off the world stage and almost invisible in the world economy. We have a total of two treaties, and that is completely unacceptable, and we have no free trade agreements or deals. The foreign affairs minister, Kathrine Henderson, has not addressed these issues even though the New Democrat platform supports internationalism. We feel that she is not taking her role seriously, and she is not representing the liberal administration as we would hope. Similarly, Benjamin Harvey is failing our nation with his inability to speak up towards Kathrine's inadequacies. Not once has he brought to the legislator a change in the administration, and since our lack of treaties and complete disappearance in the international community is hurting our trade the most, we blame the Trade and Industry Minister as well. We feel the "Citizens!" party will better address these issues, and we feel the balance of the cabinet should not change, so we have reappointed new Ministers of Science and Ministers of Defense to keep that balance. We do not mean any hard feelings by this, but we feel our liberal friends should be held accountable. We all can agree their isolationism isn't as dangerous as if Solentia United was in control. |

Message | We only hope that your vote to abstain shows the Solentian people that you do not actually care about the success of the country. You do not want to make a ruling on whether or not our lack of internationalism is problematic or not because your party is uneducated on the issues at hand. All you want is power. We aren't even in the current coalition, we do not seek being in the current coalition, and we know this move hurts our relation with our fellow liberals, but we do it anyway because we care about the international economy and Solentia. |

Message | I think its very sad that you make such accusations whith so little evidence. It is also very inappropriate that you did not send me, or anyone of the coalition, a message first to inform us about your dissatisfaction. Furthermore, I think this is just a sad attempt to raise satisfaction within the coalition, and Benjamin Harvey is the best person you can get for T&I. If you see a treaty that you wish to repeal/negotiate you can always message us for advice and support, instead of pointing your finger to the people who put their heart and soul in the wellbeing of our great nation. |

Message | You've made this act in a attempt to be a part of the coalition in the short run. It's an attempt which doesn't hurt me at all, because it's based on objectionable and disgraceful reasons. I expect this won't happen again. We agree with you about many subject, but you have to understand that this bill is unacceptable and disgraceful. |
Date | 15:31:25, November 13, 2016 CET | From | Free Democratic Party | To | Debating the Vote of No Confidence for Kathrine Henderson and Benjamin Harvey |
Message | How is it disgraceful? We aren't asking to be in the coalition, we are asking the current coalition to do it's job. |
Date | 15:34:45, November 13, 2016 CET | From | Free Democratic Party | To | Debating the Vote of No Confidence for Kathrine Henderson and Benjamin Harvey |
Message | We feel it is the role of the free democrats and SDP to propose treaties and they're being as isolationist as the SUN. That's a scary sight to see. They have contacted us to start working on negotiating treaties, and we see our alert to the nation has worked. |
Date | 17:09:31, November 13, 2016 CET | From | The Solentian Workers' Movement | To | Debating the Vote of No Confidence for Kathrine Henderson and Benjamin Harvey |
Message | The SDP has voted against this attempt, so you're not speaking on behalf of them. |
Date | 17:20:16, November 13, 2016 CET | From | Free Democratic Party | To | Debating the Vote of No Confidence for Kathrine Henderson and Benjamin Harvey |
Message | We have discussed this with both SDP and free democrats and they're going to change their policy. We are glad we have brought this to attention, and we have sacrificed political gains of our own party for the good of our nation. |
Date | 20:55:14, November 13, 2016 CET | From | Social-Democratic Party | To | Debating the Vote of No Confidence for Kathrine Henderson and Benjamin Harvey |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
