Bill: The Solentian Workers' Movement Manifesto

Details

Submitted by[?]: The Solentian Workers' Movement

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4122

Description[?]:

These bills are not expected to be passed but this is what the Solentian Workers' Movement now believes.

We are against further devolution. We should concentrate on having a united state.
We are isolationist. Why should we bow to the whims of foreign powers?
We believe in saving the environment. Let's cherish what we have so that future generations can cherish it too.
We are for a big government. We can not trust private corporations with our basic amenities.
Most importantly, we are regulatory. Workers' rights have been trampled on for too long due to laissez-faire policy.
We believe in having a strong military. Our nation can not afford to be vulnerable to foreign attacks.
We are morally liberal. This doesn't need to be explained.
We are for having a truly secular society. Religion has no place in the modern world.

Random quote: "The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve 'the common good.' It is true that capitalism does, if that catch-phrase has any meaning, but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification for capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man's rational nature, that it protects man's survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is justice." - Ayn Rand
