Message | yes please. Also, just like to add a particular point of interest that may be interesting: The CC effectively takes away any artisitic control an artist would have over his work, for example, lets say a cartoonist wanted his characters portrayed in a certain way and only that way, others could manipulate that because he would not have the control over his own work to stop them. ooc: calvin and hobbes is a great RL example of this. |

Message | Wow. Let's just pause for a second and revel in how utterly ignorant the FRP is regarding creative commons. It is remarkably simple to go to this website: http://creativecommons.org/license/ And note that there is an option to not allow others to modify your work, which means the FRP is worried over nothing. Not that being wrong will get in the way of their continued attempts to serve the rich. |

Message | By not allowing the copyright to be transferred, we hope to prevent the current problem of copyrights collecting into publishing or other large companies. Thus creating a more level field for the creative artist, while still allowing them to support themselves. |

Message | So in your quest to return copyrights to Malivia, you're willing to actually place a larger restriction on commerce? Under a creative commons system you can sell your license to whoever you pleace, but under the proposed system, only you can own the copyright. How is this better than the current system again? |
