| Mr. Speaker, It is of great emergency that we produce and by new military equipment and rearm our military. Regardless of our ideology we must recognise that Trigunia's intervention in Deltaria and their warnings to attack Saridan is dangerous for our security. And let us remind you all that our ally Indrala, during the socialist take over, withdrew from our mutual alliance. Vanuku our ally allied with the warmongers from Trigunia. We must upgrade and strengthen our Confederal Armed Forces with great haste! And so we propose the purchase of the following: Airforce: * 40 Fighter jets from Hutori * 10 bombers from Hutori * 1 Spyplanes from Hutori * Upgrading / refitting 50% of our current aircrafts Navy: * 5 Destroyers * 5 Frigates * 5 Submarines Land Army: * Refitting and upgrading 50% of the tanks * More military drills and more training of troops with allies * Fabricating more ammunition, weapons and equipment * Buying, upgrading and fabricating new Anti-Air instalations, vehicles and weapons. | Message | Mr. Speaker, Those things are fine. And as we explained 130 years ago we fought off Trigunia. Our allies cannot keep defending us and our international obligations cannot be ignored. Secondly it will be payed by the budget we currently spend on the military and maybe some reserves should it be done. We shall do these purchases over the course of 6 years. And let us be frank. Our military is outdated, Trigunia has nukes, Vanuku has the best navy and the Hutorian airforce is second to none. Our armed forces work woth equipment we used in the Great War 130 years ago. | Message | Mr. Speaker, We do not wish war and we need a defence force. It is naïve and typical of left-wing parties to ignore the need of a strong army. We do not wish to use it against other nations but let it be clear our allies can and should be able to call upon us if needed. We spend over 5% of our total economic output (GDP) on the ministery of Defence, the former minister of finance has given us the remainder of the reserves from the 23 year NEPP rule after the Socialist government fell and before the rise of the new parties that rule with us today. This reserve is around the 64 billion NED. We will use it aswel as our own defence reserves and our own budget of 300 billion NED to finance the entire military upgrade, so no worries regarding the financing of this project. The Ministery of Defence, the Military and my party the NEPP believe this to be vital for our future obligations to our allies. | Message | Mr. Speaker, I dont understand why no party here understands we can NEVER defend ourselves. Who buys weapons when he is being sttacked? Being prepared is half the battle. Our navy is over 130 years old and cannot be used. Our airforce is nearly the same. We have 4 operating fighting jets. Our land forces are in a bit of a better shape but thats it. And all parties seem to be pacisifists who care none for our safety. We have the money. Whats the objection? If our aid is needed in stopping an internal crisis I will NOT send out any military force no matter what motions pass here because they will be dead before they arrive. Lt. Gen.
