Submitted by[?]: Fortschrittsvereinigung

Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: June 4125

Description[?]:

The Progress Party propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Dorvish Republic.

As part of our manifesto, we seek to reduce spending and taxation, helping to put money back into the average Dorvish worker. We will not go ahead and propose this tax bracket just yet, as further spending reviews are first required.

MessageMr Speaker,

This bill actually generally lowers taxes across the board, this will HELP families and the middle class, as well as the lower class.

MessageMr Speaker,

It is not a view, it is a fact that we are cutting taxes for our citizens. Taxes are currently too high in our view, and we made moderate cuts to spending so we could help the people out with a sensible taxation policy. It seems the DKF were happy to cut spending, but when it comes to putting extra cash into our peoples pockets they get screamish!

MessageMr Speaker,

We agreed to it yes you are right, but our party wanted to wait on the budget report that your ex finance minister was making before we would cut taxes. Our party insisted on your minister to release the report on the price of the SAB and more but still to this date we have nothing.

Release the report and we will agree with tax cuts.

MessageMr von Braum,

So you thought you'd go ahead and cut spending left right and centre, but hold out on reliving citizens of the heavy tax burdens we currently put on them. As for the SAB, the main problem with calculating it is how vague your write up on it was. Our party held the position of finance minister at the time, but it is your party which proposed the bill, and as such your party which should have totted up the numbers to see if it was affordable first! Bare in mind we would rather repeal the act than turn our backs on our citizens by keeping taxes too high!

MessageMr Speaker,

The SAB project is a cornerstone of our policy and we will do everything to get it done.
We will make the calculations soon if needed.
And yes we do want to keep our citizens burdened with high taxes because we don't want our economy to fault and be destroyed by radical reform of the tax system.

DKF Chairman
