MessageMr Speaker,

Why would we allow this?
Wearing religious clothing is a right that should be respected yes.
But public officials have a duty to serve all citizens and need to wear proper clothes.
We vote against.

MessageMr von Braum,

They can still serve all citizens dressed in their religious attire. Some religions mandate that the followers of that religion are required to wear certain garments of clothing, not wearing it goes against that religion, for example an Ahmadi not wearing their headwear goes against their religion. Most would rather quit their job as a public official than go against their religion this way, as such this keeps people of that religion effectively locked out of such a profession. Officials wearing religions garments causes no problems, why must the DKF keep on with this witch hunt regarding religion?

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.
