| We have allowed for marriages, sexual acts, and full rights to all individuals here in Rutania and Ardinia. An exception is the legality of polygamy, currently outlawed. I move that we legalize polygamy. We have already set precedent that all sexual acts are legal, such as same sex partners and incest. Why would polygamy be any different? Anything between consenting adults is not the state's business. I open this up for debate and welcome a healthy and productive discussion. Thank-you. |

| Message | I agree - the SPP is off base here. If there are safety or repression concerns, we have other laws for that. We don't outlaw drinking, even though some people abuse others when we get drunk. As a society, we do not restrict the masses for the actions of a few. This is no different. In addition, we already recognize any marriage from another country. This is also inconsistent. Under our current legislation, I can get a polygamous marriage elsewhere and we will recognize it. But I cant' get one here? Government has no business in the bedroom - people should be free to love whoever they want. |
