Message | Yallajarra Bunji, Member from Saisyut Madame President, I'd just like to note my personal support for the RGH's bill. This is my first term in the Gathering as I was elected only a few short months ago in the last election. Only a few weeks prior to my election I was granted Hawu citizenship after immigrating from Saridan. Since I have coming to Hawu, I have been astonished at the freedom and liberty and justice that seem so natural to everyone here and permeate our country. But in the country of my birth, Saridan, these things were not natural. And for me, the comparison of my two countries -- Hawu where I found my justice and God's justice and Saridan which lost itself and its soul -- is proof that freedom and justice and liberty are not in fact forces of nature, as much as we would like them to be. They only come about when people decide they are important and fight to defend them every single day. So for that reason, I'm very proud to say as a Hawu citizen that I will cast my first vote in this great house in favor of this important bill, and I am confident that my Federationist colleagues will join me in supporting it. I yield the floor Madame President. |

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost. |
