Message | Simul Prorsum belives that civil defense and postal delivery are truly national issues and should be handled by the national government. However, we believe that first responders--like firefighters--should be controlled by local authorities who will be more in tune with the needs of their citizens. Accordingly, we cannot vote to nationalize what is properly a provincial responsibility. If Article 3 were removed from this bill, we would support it. As it is, we will oppose the nationalization of provincial services. If this bill were to pass, we would seek to devolve firefighting services again. --- Octavianus Maxentius Martialis Deputy for Internal Affairs |

Message | We will make a separate bill after this one passes to change the firefighting service, if you wish. |
Date | 12:10:22, December 07, 2016 CET | From | Magni Iucunda Imperialium | To | Debating the National Services |
Message | Making the defence, power grid and post office a government responsibility is a good thing and Magni Iucunda Imperialium agrees about those changes. But, as mentioned earlier, firefighting should not be a national but a local responsibility and that article, Article 3, falls in direct contrast with our proposal of Bill: New Localization Act of 4130. So we can not support this until Article 3 i changed! --- Signed by Head of Internal Affairs in MII Maxentius Terentius Junius |
