Message | "The PPS fails to appreciate that this law doesn't deal with spying on our own citizens, but with covert operations in other countries, secretly getting involved in the internal dealings in other nations. As Mr Antonini of the AA has already explained, the current state of affairs authorises the intelligence agency to meddle in the affairs of other countries, putting ourselves in an untenable situation if other countries do the same to us. In the interest of good diplomatic relations and in the interest of our own security, it is desirable that we refrain from such activities in the future." Message | OOC: PPS, there isn't a variable on domestic intelligience - Particracy only has an option for foreign intelligence. Nonetheless, I believe spying in general would fall under "counter-intelligence and surveillance", which forms the basis of my proposal. |
